Victoria Old Head Sovereign Review

Queen Victoria Old Head Sovereign
Queen Victoria Old Head Sovereign
In 1896 Queen Victoria became the longest reigning Monarch in English History.
This event was put off at her request until 1897 to coincide with her Diamond Jubilee.
The Diamond Jubilee Celebrations included a huge procession and visits by Prime Ministers of colonies and dominions.
There were in addition troops from all parts of the British Empire and soldiers sent by Indian Princes and Chiefs as a mark of respect for the Empress of India.
Queen Victoria was behind the Victorian movement that espoused morality and good behaviour
She was widely regarded as the grandmother of most of the Royal Houses of Europe and was indeed related to most of them.
Alhough she became a little upopular during the immediate period after Prince Alberts death (she became a recluse)
This eventually passed and she regained her popularity.
She is honoured by the naming of a number of Cities and lakes/waterfalls around the world.
